When Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino released her debut, self-titled album at the height of Northern Hemisphere Summer, I was bummed. All that talk of sun, sand, Babysitter's Club and, um, her cat, presented the perfectly road-tripping / pre-festival / tranquil escapist soundtrack. Lucky for me it's still high on rotate over here, which I'm sure will only be cemented by the release of this video clip for single 'Boyfriend'. Apparently she was supposed to tour here (rumours, rumours) and those plans have fallen through due to "more important touring opportunities" but with this video clip, at least we can imagine what she would've have been like live. This is her performing at at Sweet Fifteen party while the Birthday girl flirts away amongst the sun-drenched sounds.
