RADARTE

— Posted on 14.02.2011

The latest in a long line of video collaborations between fashion designers, directors and musicians features Rodarte's Spring-Summer 2010 collection, modelled by young-Hollywood-hit-lister Elle Fanning and shot by director Todd Cole. The short film, The Curve of Forgotten Things is soundtracked by Deerhunter and features Fanning floating around historic Baldwin House in LA evoking the dusty dreamscapes of seventies films like Badlands. According to Cole: "it's the title of a Richard Brautigan poem. The poem and the film are about forgotten things—circles and the curve of time.”

Considering the controversy the Mulleavy sisters have been involved in regarding their contribution to Black Swan, it's nice to see them present a collaborative elements where their contribution is not overstated, understated, or in question, and in which their beautiful collection speaks for itself.
