CURIOS AND CURIOUSER

Sydneysider Jasmine O'Loughlin is the lady behind sculpture-jewellery project GALA Curious. Apparently based on the surrealist work of Salvador Dali, the pieces in latest collection Into The Fold resemble sculptural, art deco odes to the warped metal and metaphorical manifestations of Egyptian artifacts. To compare it to other Australian accessories designers, it's an amalgamation of Elke Kramer's art deco sensibilities and Make Believe's confrontation neon-pastel roses. The look book married these themes to photographic imagery perfectly by presenting a model in statuesque poses in front of layered pastel fabrics, which she is simultaneously adorned by.
