Our Wellington friends Good as Gold have been leading creative retail in New Zealand for over five years now, in a little store with a hospital green jewellery cabinet and a bulldog called Buster on Victoria Street in Wellington and it is our pleasure at Always Sometimes Anytime to present imagery of their new store.
Just a few doors down the road (on the corner of Victoria and Manners Street, controversial bus situation and all) owner Ruben Bryant, along with his architect dad Ken Bryant, have built the creative space he imagined Good as Gold would always one day become. Three levels large, the fit out involves a ton of Macrocarpa timber fashioned into tree-house like changing rooms, a mega wall of denim shelving, and stairs for Africa.
The store continues to carry the brands it always has, as well as a few newbies (head over here to check out the full list) and makes me crave another weekend in Wellies. If you can't make it down to check out the store for real have a peek at the photos below and head over to their online store to take a closer look at the stock. Congratulations guys!
While we were down there we raided the store and shot an editorial, too. Here's a sneak peak and we'll release the rest in the next couple of weeks.
