These are a few of our favourite things: pattern-on-pattern, androgyny, coloured hair, grunge and the nineties more generally. Thus when we caught sight of Jimmy D's look book for S2011-12 we were immediately creating wish lists and envisaging the wearing of pentacle bras and perfectly cut chiffon print dresses come October-ish.
Called Buzz Kill, designer James Dobson has progressed the ideas borne from his Winter 2011 NZFW collection - namely black metal and dark spirituality - into a refined, versatile wardrobe of oversized, androgynous pieces that can be worn a multitude of ways for a multitude of occasions - but preferably ones that involve getting stoned and listening to music obnoxiously loudly. Props for making the often-questionable footwear choice of cowboy boots look cool, too.
Here are our favourite pieces from the look book, featuring one of our favourite ladies Lili Sumner.
