Always Sometimes Anytime are continuing our investigation into contemporary ideas of Freedom with the third in our series of Sara Orme photography around this theme. This time we headed to Rotorua and shot at several locations all with unique history and perspectives regarding what it has meant and means to be free in New Zealand, including the Waiotapu thermal wonderland, the Blue Lake, the Redwood Forest and the Rakeiao Marae which belongs to the Ngati Rongomai Iwi. The locations were all obviously very different but each had an atmosphere which spoke to a learned, self-aware ideal of freedom and we hope that in some way this translates to the series of imagery below.
