Chloe Sevigny's seasonal collaborations with Opening Ceremony have become the things of legend; everybody covets, few own and most pieces are sold out before the rest of us even get a chance.
Which make Resort 2011 somewhat odd. Sevigny presented this collection at a New York high school some months ago (you can check Sevigny's hair-fluffing prowess and some artist being a douche in a video for the show over here) and initial reactions were mixed. That lazer-cut leather lace dress is kind of cool, but what on earth is going on with those jeans? That collaboration with seminal nineties skate brand Vision Street Wear rules, but why did she design sandals that look like they're part of a 'naughty maid' outfit?
Well, now we can judge, piece by piece, because the collection has just gone for sale online. The Vision Street Wear pieces still stand out as the centrepiece of the collection - as I imagine was the point - and there's a khaki boiler suit in there that we definitely wouldn't say not to, but we're Just. Not. Sure about the rest. Our picks are below, but tell us, how do you feel about the latest Sevigny installment?
