Tilda Swinton is a true fashion maven. Misunderstood by gossip magazines, heralded by Go Fug Yourself and the industry-at-large alike as a true originator her style is a unique mix of classic cuts and extreme silhouettes and should only ever be described as 'Swinton'. It's no wonder that her expertise have been hijacked by a fashion brand then, particularly one as classically English as her flame-coloured tresses and pale complexion. Swinton's relationship with Pringle of Scotland started a couple of years ago when Ryan McGinley shot her for the Spring-Summer 2010 campaign. At the time she had this to say about the label:
"Pringle for me is completely eternal. It makes me think of my grandmother's twinsets, which I have known since I was a child. Being part of a modern Pringle now is really rocking for me."
A couple of years on and Swinton seems similarly chuffed with the brand as she continues to collaborate with the brand, new Creative Director - Alistair Carr - full catwalk shows and all. Dazed and Confused caught Carr and Swinton in conversation, discussing the brand, which you can have a listen to below.
