THE BEST JAPAN BLOGS - PART TWO
Are you hungry? Do you like Japanese food? Yes? Good. Humble Bean is for you. It's all in English and the recipes are amazing/taste sensational. And it's pretty healthy. MEGA BOON. This blog provides recipes that are beyond the typical things you would find in Japanese restaurants. Instead they are much more likely to be found locked away in a Japanese grannys recipe drawer. Azusa, the author of the blog has also created a cute wee recipe book with all efforts going towards the Japanese relief effort which you can buy on Etsy. Itadakimasu! (let's eat!)
'Mori' means forest. Over the last decade or so an increasingly earthy look has become popular with a lot of Japanese girls. Basically you can be a wafty creature of the forest and wear cute outdoorsy stuff, look chill as fuck and if you're feeling really into it, perhaps randomly place some twigs in your hair. All joking aside, Mori Girl fashion is pretty awesome, and an interesting step away from the lolitas and harajuku girls (more on that next week) that have been receiving coverage for so long. The Mori Girl blog promotes a slower way of life and this is definitely something that is a growing subculture within Japan. Even if it's not your cup of tea, it makes for interesting browsing.
Technically this isn't a Japanese blog but it has a truckload of Japanese imagery that is really inspiring, so if you need that fix, this is your place!
