I lasted less than a year as a Girl Guide as my inherent need to be argumentative and disruptive sealed my fate, and to be honest I think I was robbed of a potential future career path. If there's one thing that made a successful Girl Guide it was their well-rounded skill-set - jack of all trades, master of none - and considering I'm an unabashed slashie I surely would have earned a myriad activities badges easily and worn them with pride.
Alas it was not to be, but thanks Romance was Born for reminding me of these adolescent failings. For Winter 2012 the brand have taken the brown and khaki colour palette, the crafting, the owl and the naiive aspect of the young women's collective to heart and designed a collection that reminds me of a simpler and easier time. However, they've also included some of that naughtiness and anti-establishment (it's what Romance was Born is about after all) mentality that got me fired in the form of multi-coloured metallic shift dresses and mini skirts. Check out the look book below.
