Welcome to The Babe edition of Monday Favourites - well, to start at least. Michael Pitt, actor, musician and partner to equine-resembling model-of-the-moment Jamie Bochert, was recently recruited by Prada as the star of their Summer 2012 campaign. As many a struggling guitarist before him, Pitt wears new season Prada glasses and suits while strumming away in a studio. Floppy hair forever, right?
Babe number two comes courtesy of Victoria's Secret Angel Candice Swanepoel and her participation in a behind-the-scenes video of the brand's swimwear shoot. Where are you Terry Richardson? Behind a bush with binoculars? Show yourself! I didn't think a swimwear shoot on an exotic beach could take place without you, you charming pervert. Here's what did go down, Richardson or no Richardson:
Architectural Digest has photographed Diane Von Furstenberg's (sort of a babe for her age) ah-mazing penthouse apartment. There's some tacky moments but what about that wooden bath tub and rooftop garden?
It kind of reminds me of Agyness Deyn's (ultimate babe) cray cray apartment that was up for sale recently and makes me wonder if all fashion people are in part, completely tasteless?
Winter 2012 shows and press viewings have been going on for weeks now, and while we've already covered our favourites, The Liberty London press day was recently and Disney Roller Girl took a picture of the coolest sunglasses ever.
By A-Morir they're cat's eye shaped with a bunch of tacky crap stuck onto them. I'm pretty sure they're the same brand that featured in this awesome Oyster shoot with Lindsey Wixson...
...and may I just say to any Liberty PR person reading, I really, really like these, and am open to advertorial at your earliest convenience. I'll even take a street style photo of myself for a pair of these guys, promise!
Back here and it's Summer 2012-13 look book and campaign shooting / presentation time. Last Wednesday Stolen Girlfriend's Club held a low-key show at their new space in Ponsonby, and you can check out our coverage of the event - one of our first 'In Ten Shots' features - over here. Vanishing Elephant released the look book for their first women's range, Ruby gave us a sneak peak on their Facebook page of a very bright pink t-shirt and patterned pant combo...
...while Neverblack have take the West Coast to heart with their Californian-inspired range:
Bye summer, hi summer, I'm confused!
