So a while ago Hannah Cooke (tear) and I had a discussion aboutt young Hollywood in which we projected their adult careers, and a reader was less than impressed by our summation of lip-pouting, prematurely sexualised Chloe Moretz's future.
However, recent events - or should I say role choices - have cemented our preconceptions about Moretz, as the trailer for her latest film, Hick, demonstrates. In the film she stars as a sort of underage Badlands badass; seducing much older dudes and becoming pals with a junkie, played by equally as unsubtle fembot Blake Lively. Not only does Moretz's role look completely unsavoury, the trailer emphasizes the grotesque elements to the point where I can't tell if they're having a laugh of not.
Man I love it when my poorly argued assumptions prove themselves correct. Take that reader.
