WATCH CAMILLA AND MARC'S SUMMER 2012-13 FASHION FILM

I was admiring the blue metallic suit that is a stand-out outfit from Camilla and Marc's and began comparing this Sydney brand's Summer 2012-13 collection to that iconic piece of architecture: the Sydney Opera House, you know, as you do.

Minimal and sharp with a focus on cleanliness and modernism, this geographical metaphor can (loosely, very loosely) be applied Camilla and Marc more generally - particularly with their latest collection. The colour palette is height-of-summer bright, the lines - as mentioned - are sharp and urban and the collection emanates a positivity reflective of shimmering blue skys and sea, suggesting a quintessential Aussie-ness, rather antithetical to our monochromatic layering, too.

Brother-sister design duo Camilla Freeman-Topper and Marc Freeman give their collection, 'Le Jardin Secret' a mythical edge in a video clip starring Belgian actress Celine Buckens (War Horse), in which Buckens elegantly wanders the streets of London.
