Quiet and foreboding; the calm before the storm. If we weren't already anxious enough ahead of the release of The Dark Knight Rises, Christopher Nolan has delivered another trailer that asks way more questions than it answers, in a totally insidious, gut-wrenching way. Why is Batman down a well? What are those kids on the bus staring at? Is all hope actually lost? And the ultimate: will Anne Hathaway embarrass the legacy of Catwoman? At least it answers a couple: Tom Hardy is going to be totally badass and Joseph Gordon-Levitt is going to be totally hot, but hook a brother up and release this guy already!
The Dark Knight Rises is in cinemas on July 20th, 2012.
