TGIF! Hello! It’s Friday Favourites time. A bitter chill has hit Auckland. And last week I was talking about wanting an “extreme”. Ha ha. I always say I love winter but then this happens. Waking up is a million times harder, my lips are already bright red and gross feeling from windburn, I DON’T HAVE A DRYER AT MY HOUSE... Life is hard. I hope everyone has a body/heater/hot water bottle/animal to keep them warm.
Okay, White House Correspondents Dinner! America makes me lol. In what world does Lindsay Lohan need to be at the White House Correspondents Dinner? I would even go as far as to say that I deserve to be there more than her. And even though I love her- Kim Kardashian? Srsly? That girl is famous for sexing on tape, crying about losing a gazillion dollar earring and getting married for a day. She does want to be mayor now though, so....
Old news I suppose, but I forgot to talk about it in my first week... Have you seen the shots from Sofia Coppola’s Bling Ring? I’m pretty excited about this because I used to watch that horrible (awesome) E! Reality Show- Pretty Wild. It was about three “sisters” (one girl, now in rehab for heroin (eep) was a playboy bunny that the family kind of... adopted) and how they took the LA party world by a storm. Instead eldest and most annoying sister Alexis Neiers got arrested for the Bling Ring burglaries, which I was obsessed with. This became the focus of the show... Never before have I seen so much crying crammed into a 20 minute space. Do you know they stole five times from Paris Hiltons house (which was unlocked every time) and it was only when they took 2 million in jewellery that she reported a burglary? Tehehe. Anyway, Emma Watson is playing Alexis Neiers! Here is her dressed up like Alexis (like a ho):
The third and final Dark Knight Rises trailer came out, and man it was good. I’m probably being a negative nancy (or just a bitch), but does it bug anyone else that Christopher Nolan picked Anne Hathaway? Ugggh. She’s pretty and stuff I know, but she has that annoying voice, even when she’s pretending to be someone else. That annoying-overeager-girl-at-highschool voice. Obviously I know better than all the extremely experienced casting directors involved. Other than that, so awesome. And Cillian Murphy was spotted on set.... Oh yeaaaaah.

Jessica Simpson gave birth... That took way too long. Maybe in five years that kid will have her first birthday.
On Mad Men this week, three generations met, and it was all about daughters. Sally wanted to grow up, promptly changing her mind when she witnessed some extramarital fellatio. As an adult I think if I walked in on that I’d also be pretty disturbed too, so I think she handled it pretty well. When Glen asked her, “How’s the city?” Sally paused for a moment then said quite bluntly “It’s dirty.” I thought it was a great ending.
This is closer to home... In light of a certain other “New Zealand” “reality show”* this bothers me more than it usually would, and I could say many things, but there’s kind of no point- Sally and Jamie Ridge have obviously started shooting their reality show. I was at Britomart Country Club the other night, (side note- that place kind of sucks) and they were there. Sitting together opposite me, drinking and talking to a bunch of burly dudes. I guess I’m being judgey but... whatttt? I don’t know. Never mind. In a bar with a bunch of dudes is probably the last place I would ever hang out with my mum so I’m not really in a position to understand or comment.

Jersey Shore was embarrassing but at least it was funny and entertaining. This was just... Oh my god. So bad. Don’t watch it! No one needs to cringe that much. You all know what I’m talking about.
