It's the moment we've all been waiting for: the movie that Baz Luhrmann doesn't fuck up the trailer for The Great Gatsby!
You'd be forgiven for thinking The Great Gatsby, set in the twenties and filmed in Australia, was going to be as similarly underwhelming as Luhrmann's last antipodean expedition. But alas! The trailer for The Great Gatsby, based on F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel of the same name, signals a return to the highly stylized brilliance of Romeo & Juliet and Moulin Rouge. Leonardo DiCaprio returns to the fold, playing the mythical, troubled Gatsby, while Tobey Maguire and Carey Mulligan flesh out the lead cast as Nick Carraway and Daisy Buchanan respectively.
I'm going to stop writing now and let your eyes explode.
