It may be a tough fashion climate out there, but if you have a unique, quality product success can still be achieved. Enter Wellington-based brand Kowtow who present their tenth collection, for Summer 2012-13 - alongside the news that they will now be stocking in 50 locations across New Zealand, Australia and The Netherlands.
The Kowtow vision in definitely different: create a series of simple, timeless garments that have subtle design features separating them from the myriad basics brands out there. Add to that the fact that their product is all made from fair trade organic cotton and you have a bonafide unique brand.
The starting point for Summer 2012-13 was apparently a Mondrian painting titled 'Obsessive Minimalist' and we see the influence of this iconic artist through colour blocking burgundies, golds and blacks, and the linear silhouettes of both the garments and the styling throughout the look book. Check out our favourite pieces from the collection below, as well as a promotional video Kowtow have created to compliment and cement this season's theme.
UPDATE: Kowtow have kindly offered up a giveaway for all Always Sometimes Anytime readers.
